A targeting vector was designed to replace exon 8 of the locus. Exon 8 encodes the N-terminal region of the paracaspase domain. RT-PCR confirmed loss of transcript in mutant thymocytes. Western blot failed to detect protein from mutant spleens. (J:109545)
