This transgene contains the full length cDNA of rat Prkaa2 with the aspartic acid at residue 157 changed to alanine to render the catalytic subunit inactive, tagged with an HA epitope, under the control of the cardiac specific mouse alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter. Prkaa2 activity is reduced in hearts at base line by 78%. (J:86014, J:97374)
