This transgene expresses a constitutively active mutant of Akt1 (the Akt1 cDNA contains a Src myristoylation signal) under the control of the mouse alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter. The transgene is expressed in the heart and at low levels in the lung but not in kidney or skeletal muscle. (J:77257)
