The transgene was constructed by joining the coding sequence and SV40 polyadenylation signal from the p-EYFP-Tub vector (Clontech), which encodes a fusion protein composed of enhanced yellow fluorescent protein (EYFP) and a human alpha-tubulin, downstream of the chicken beta-actin promoter followed by a Pgk-puromycin resistance cassette. Mitotic spindles of regenerating hepatocytes from partially hepatectomized mice bearing this transgene fluoresce brightly. (J:100110)
