A gene trap vector, pGT1dMpfs, containing a Betageo was inserted into intron 2 of the locus. Northern blot demonstrated lack of transcript in mutants. The insertion resulted in the production of an in-frame fusion transcript consisting of exons 1 and 2 from the locus and Betageo. (J:108166)
