A 1.4 kb genomic segment including exon 6 was removed via cre mediated recombination. RT-PCR detected reduced amounts of transcript in heterozygotes. Sequencing revealed that the splicing of exons 5-7, which encode a frame shift mutation at codon 452, generated this transcript. (J:107917)
