A targeting vector was designed to disrupt the locus by replacing parts of exons 2 and 5 and all of exons 3 and 4 with a neomycin resistance cassette. Northern blot of mutant kidney confirmed absence of the major 2.7 kb transcript. Immunoblot confirmed absence of protein in mutants. (J:107558)
