A pgk1-neo cassette lacking a polyA signal was inserted into the exon spanning base pairs 1442 to 1525, which encode the beginning of the kinase domain. Northern blot confirmed absence of normal transcript as well as any truncated transcripts. Western blot failed to detect protein in mutant ES cells. (J:24213)
