LoxP sites were inserted to flank promoter sequences, exons 1 and 2. The frt flanked neo cassette was removed by flp mediated recombination. Deletion of this sequence would remove the start codon, the 5' SNAG repression domain and the first three zinc finger DNA binding domains of the protein. (J:105294)
