Hoxd1^tm1Ddu

This allele was created in the same ES cells used to create Hoxdtm2Ddu and thus has a loxP site located 5' of Hoxd13. A lacZ reporter sequence followed by a PGKneo selection cassette was inserted into exon 2. In vitro cre expression removed the selection cassette only. The resulting fusion protein expressed all but the most C-terminal 25 amino acids. (J:70547)
