The beta galactosidase protein coding sequence as well as a pgk-neo cassette was introduced into the locus. Immunoreactivity was found for beta galactosidase in the narrow nuclei of olfactory nerve layer ensheathing cells, as expected according to endogenous Cntf activity in wild mice. (J:105479)
