A targeting vector was designed to insert human isoform RET51 containing a replacement of residues 1063-1072 with residues 1063-1072 of human isoform RET9. This resulted in an allele similar to Rettm2(RET)Jmi, but has the C-terminus of RET51 containing a Y1096 not present in RET9. Endogenous transcript was not detected in mutants; however, transcript from the inserted human RET9 sequence was detected. (J:105047)
