A targeting vector was designed to insert a point mutation into exon 2 that resulted in a K112E substitution. Crossing with mice expressing cre recombinase removed a floxed neo cassette. Normal levels of protein were found in mutant heart, lung, spleen, liver and kidney samples. A slower-migrating protein was detected in mutant tissues. (J:105045)
