Tg(Ela1-Bhlhb8)#Skz

This transgene consists of the rat elastase 1 promoter driving expression of a dominant negative mutation of the mouse Bhlhb8 gene. The mutation was created by replacing RER with GGG in the basic domain at amino acids 80-82. The construct also contains a C-terminal Myc epitope tag. Eight lines were generated some with patchy expression and others with expression in 95% of pancreatic acinar cells. In J:89063 phenotypic data was only provided for lines with patchy expression.
