A targeting vector was designed such that the whole intracellular loop regions of the human protein were substituted for the equivalent regions of the mouse protein. RT-PCR detected the chimeric transcript was expressed in the same manner as wild-type transcript in normal mice. Wild-type transcript was not detected in mutants. (J:104495)
