The ubiquitously expressed CAGGS chimeric promoter derived from chicken beta-actin and CMV immediate early promoter sequences drives expression of the sleeping beauty 10 (sb10) transposase. The transgene caused a 3 kb deletion in and inserted into intron 12 of the host gene. RNA-seq confirmed the absence of transcription from exons 13 onward. (J:70414)
