Cre-mediated excision was used to remove the loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette that replaced the core Emu enhancer, located between the Igh J and Cmu gene segments. These mice had reduced B cell numbers in association with impaired D to JH and VH to DJH rearrangement. (J:101400)
