The last coding exon was deleted, thereby by abolishing activity by removing the critical Tyr-314 residue and the C-terminal VTRL motif. Northern blot confirmed lack of full-length or truncated transcript in mutant cells. Absense of protein in Western blot supported this finding. (J:101365)
