A targeting construct was designed to insert a GFP at the initiation codon. A frame shift was introduced into exon 2, which encodes the Lbx1 homeodomain. GFP was expressed in migrating muscle progeitors of the dorsal and ventral limb in a pattern similar to the endogenous protein. (J:100909)
