A 5kb fragment of the murine Pim1 promoter drives expression of a 4.5 kb fragment of the muring Il9 gene that includes the entire coding region plus 1.5 kb of the 3' untranslated region. High levels of RNA expression were seen in all organs and high levels of biologically active protein were detected in the serum.
