Crossing Atg7tm1Tchi with mice expressing cre recombinase in oocytes resulted in the loss of exon 14. Neither transcript nor protein was detected in mutants. Loss of activity was also detected in neonate livers by examining the ATG conjugation systems. (J:100199)
