A targeting vector was designed to replace exons 2 and 3 with a neomycin resistance cassette, resulting in the loss of the HDI region from the 36-kDa isoform. Northern blot showed the presence of three aberrant transcripts in mutant. However, immunoblot did not detect protein. (J:100027)
