A gene trap vector, pGT1Lxt, designed to create an in-frame fusion between the 5' exons of the locus and betagalactosidase and neomycin resistance genes was inserted into intron 3. Northern blot confirmed the insertion of the vector and the presence of a fusion transcript. (J:99932)
