A loxP site was inserted into the intron preceding zinc finger 1, and a loxP flanked neomycin resistance cassette was inserted approximately 500 base pairs 3' of the terminal exon. The neomycin resistance cassette was removed by Cre-mediated recombination in the final allele, leaving loxP sites flanking most of the coding region. (J:99745)
