A targeting vector was designed to replace exon 1 and part of exon 2, sequence encompassing the transcription start site, translation start site and 157 codons, with a PGK-hprt cassette. Immunohistochemsitry and Western blot analyses confirmed absence of protein in mutant ovaries. (J:99134)
