A floxed PGK-neo cassette replaced part of the 5'UTR and all of exon 1 by homologous recombination. In situ hybridization of mutant E13.5 spinal cord and P1 brain confirmed absence of transcript. Northern blot, RT-PCR and 5' RACE analyses further confirmed absence of transcript. (J:99181)
