This transgene contain murine alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter driving GFP minigene flanked by two loxP sites, followed by another minigene coding for a constructively active mutant form of human MAP2K6. In absence of cre recombinase, only GFP is expressed. When cre recombinase is expressed in the cell hovering this transgene, DNA recombination events between the two loxP sites resulted in the deletion f the GFP minigene sequences, and the expression of MAP2K6 minigene.
