This transgene consists of the CMV enhancer with the chicken beta-actin promoter, a floxed Blasticidin resistance gene and the Angpt16 gene. Cre mediated recombination removes the Blasticidin resistance gene and allows expression of Angpt16 in brown adipose tissue, heart, and skeletal muscle. Angpt16 concentration increased approximately twofold. Three lines were made. This is a representative record representing lines 8-1, 9-1, and 16-1, all of which have identical phenotypes. (J:97552)
