To disrupt the production of any isoform, Recql5tm1Glu mice were crossed with mice expressing cre in the germline to removed exon 4, causing a frameshift at codon 260. This allele is expected to encode a truncated polypeptide of 260 amino acids, and therefore either an N-terminal truncated protein without any discernable domain or no protein at all. (J:97667)
