Exons 7-13 were repd with a IRES-LacZ-neo cassette. These exons encoded the ERalpha interaction domain and RD. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated absence of the C-terminal transcript in mutant brain and testis. Immunoblot confirms the absence of full-length protein, as well as a smaller truncated protein, in mutant brain and embryo samples. (J:97633)
