A sequence 172 bp upstream of the zinc finger motif at exon 1 was replaced with a cassette containing stop-IRES-lacZ-loxP-neo-loxP. RT-PCR of mutant embryos confirmed absence of transcript. Crossing with EIIa-cre mice removed the neo. (J:97076)
