The ORF of the endogenous locus was replaced with the ORF of the rat Pou3f3 gene and a neo cassette. Cre mediated recombination removed the neo. Western blot demonstrated that at postnatal day 8, mutant mice expressed rat Pou3f3 in the myelinating sciatic nerves. (J:96824)
