An 800 bp cDNA encoding the TVA cDNA was flanked by the rat elastase 1 promoter and intron and polyA sequences from SV40. The transgene was expressed throughout the pancreas in newborn mice, but expression became localized to the acini in the adult pancreas. Expression was not detected in the liver, spleen, lung, or kidney. (J:87197)
