The gene trap vector VICTR37 incorporated into the 5' region of the locus, just upstream of the first coding exon(NM_009067.1). RT-PCR analysis revealed that the transcript was absent in the homozygous mutant mice. Western blot of mutant tissues demonstrated the absence of protein. (J:82809, J:100087)
