A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 2 and a floxed neo-tk cassette was inserted downstream of exon 4. The neo-tk cassette was removed by transient expression of cre recombinase in correctly targeted ES cells. Resulting mutant animals carry loxP-flanked exons 2-4. (J:96039)
