The fragment spanning nt -1200 to +46 bp of the human SERPINA1 gene was cloned upstream of the HBV X gene cloned from the adwsub2/sub subtype. This construct was cloned into PGEM1, which contains the T7 phage promoter. 10-15 copies of the transgene were incorporated into the DNA. Transgene expression was detected in the liver. (J:90305)
