A targeting construct was designed to flank exon 5 with loxP sites and insert an FRT-flanked sequence containing a splice acceptor site, stop codons in all three reading frames, and an IRES-gfp-neo. Transcription resulting in the bicistronic mRNA was confirmed by flow cytometry. (J:95651)
