A partial cDNA of a mutant version of mouse Efnb2 in which all tyrosine residues were mutated to phenylalanines was fused to exon 1. This cDNA was followed by a poly a signal and a floxed PGK-neo cassette. The floxed neo cassette was then removed by Cre mediated recombination. This mutation prevents tyrosine phosphorylation of the resulting protein. Expression of GFP was identical to endogenous expression in all tissues examined. (J:143845)
