A lacZtAceCreNeo cassette was inserted in frame into exon 1 and a stop codon was placed in exon 3. The tAceCreNeo cassette was automatically excised during germline transmission of the mutant allele. Northern blot analysis confirmed the absence of transcription. Expression of LacZ is very low or absent in heterozygotes but present in homozygotes. (J:117073)
