A sequence from rat Foxe1 replaced the endogenous sequence spanning from the start site to the end of the homeobox (nucleotide positions 7957 to 9480). Sv40 pA was added after the stop codon, as well as a PGK-neo cassette. The inserted sequence was ectopically expressed in Titf1 expression domains like the lung and diencephalons, (J:95017)
