A mutant human RET cDNA containing a cysteine to arginine mutation at codon 634 was flanked by the human calcitonin promoter and SV40 polyA sequences. A single copy of the transgene was incorporated in the genome. Transgene expression was strong in the pancreas and thyroid and weak in the lung. No expression was detected in the adrenal gland or kidney. (J:70566)
