A mutant human RET cDNA containing a cysteine to arginine mutation at codon 634 was flanked by the human calcitonin promoter and SV40 polyA sequences. Approximately three copies of the transgene were incorporated into the genome. Transgene expression was strong in the pancreas and thyroid and weak in the lung. No expression was detected in the adrenal gland or kidney. No phenotype was observed in mice carrying this allele. (J:70566)
