This transgene included a 3.6 kb fragment encoding the murine Upk2 gene promoter placed upstream of a 3.0 kb sequence encoding a mutant rabbit Hras gene (glutamine to leucine point mutation at codon 61). Mice carrying this allele generated 2 transgene fragments measuring 4.9 and 8.2 kb in length, representing head to tail and tail to tail arrangements, respectively. Approximately 30 copies of the transgene were inserted into the genome. (J:69251)
