An IRESBgeo cassette was inserted in 1st intron. This cassette was flanked by LoxP sites and a 3rd loxP site was inserted in the 2nd intron. Transient cre expression removed the floxed sequence, including exon 2, which encodes the first part of the H2A domain. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein product. (J:121382)
