A targeting vector was designed to replace the first coding exon with the rat Erbb2 cDNA and a neo. Analysis of the RT-PCR product indicated that mutants only expressed the rat cDNA. Western blot showed a reduced level of protein was expressed compared to wild-type mice. (J:94397)
