This transgene uses a Ttr promoter to drive expression of a c-Myc tagged Foxo1, mutated to include a single amino acid substitution replacing the phosphorylation site Ser253 with a non-phosphorylatable amino acid. This line expressed the fusion protein in liver at levels approximately threefold lower than line 305. Total Foxo1 expression in islets was determined to be fivefold lower in this line than in line 305 by RT-PCR. No expression was found in islets. (J:79560)
