A 6 kb region extending from exon 5 into exon 10, including the active serine site in exon 5, was replaced with a neomycin resistance cassette. ES cell clone 1A4 generated the mice reported. RT-PCR and Northern blot analysis confirmed the absence of transcript. (J:94751)
