A targeting vector was designed to flank exons 7 and 8 with lox511 sites and to insert a floxed PGK-neo. Transfection of ES cells with a Cre plasmid removed the PGK-neo. Immunoblot of brain extracts from mutants showed that wild-type protein was expressed. (J:94234)
