The insertion of the Myc transgene also deleted approximately 40 kb of chromosome 5 at the insertion site, encompassing sequence downstream of Cyln2 through the first exon of Gtf2ird1. Northern blot and RT-PCR analysis of heart, muscle, liver, and spleen tissue from homozygous mutant mice showed highly reduced levels of Gtf2ird1 transcript. (J:4527)
