A GFP gene was fused in frame to the first exon. A floxed neo cassette replaced the rest of exon 1, exons 2 and 3, and part of exon 4. The floxed neo cassette was subsequently removed but the GFP gene was not functional. Immunohistochemistry, Western blot analysis, and Northern blot analysis confirm the absence of gene products.
